8 Bandung Yearbook
The Overview
For SMAN 8 Bandung’s graduating class, I led the creative direction and full production of their yearbook—an important keepsake that blends memory with design. From concept ideation to layout, photography direction, and final print-ready files, I delivered a cohesive visual story that captures the spirit of the students and their final year.
The Challenge
Yearbooks can often feel templated or generic. The challenge was to create a concept that felt personal, timeless, and visually distinctive—while managing a large volume of content, varying student personalities, and tight production timelines. Everything needed to feel unified, yet reflect individuality.
What We Did
I started by developing a central theme that connected visually and emotionally with the students. From there, I art-directed photoshoots to match the theme, designed custom layouts, selected typography, and crafted a narrative flow that balanced fun and formality. The final result is a visually rich and emotionally grounded publication that feels less like a book—and more like a time capsule.
